Andrew Grice - Director of Finance

Andrew Grice is Director of Finance at the University of Reading and has been in the higher education sector since 2005, with previous senior finance roles at the University of Bristol (2014-2017), University of Southampton (2005-2014). He joined Southampton from a Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council institute.

Andrew’s career path has been in research and education (both further and higher) after qualifying as an accountant in practice and working in New Zealand post-qualification for several years.

He is a qualified chartered accountant with fellowship of the Institute of Chartered accountant in England and Wales. Andrew obtained a BA degree from the University of Oxford in Agricultural and Forestry Sciences.

As Director of Finance at the University of Reading, Andrew is a member of the University Executive Board and is responsible for all aspects of the financial management and planning for the University.

Andrew is the Chairman of the Business World UK User Group.

In his spare time Andrew is a keen Hockey player and enjoys traveling and spending time with family and dog.
