BIOGRAPHY

I am the HR & Payroll Manager for the Local Government Association (LGA) and it’s associated organisations. Between the organisations there are a total of circa 450 staff using employee self-service and we use Business World for our Finance, HR & Payroll.


I have been with the LGA since 2004 and have held a number of different roles with the organisation. I was outsourced in 2008, Agresso was implemented shortly after (2009) and we have upgraded a number of times since. I am now back in-house managing the HR and Payroll function and oversaw the upgrade from MS4 to MS6 in January 2017. We are about to embark on the testing phase of MS7 with a view to going live towards the end of the year.


My day job is not completely system focussed however I am keen that we use technology to best effect for HR and payroll − at the LGA we currently have paperless payroll processing and continue to explore business advantages that we can obtain from Business World.


In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors and you will quite often find me in the garden or in a kayak on the river Nene.
