I am the Systems Accountant supporting the development of Unit4’s ERP at Edinburgh Napier University. I joined Edinburgh Napier University in November 2011 starting as a Finance Assistant within the external project team. After qualifying with ACCA as an Accountant in June 2014, I moved to being a Management Accountant and more recently a Finance Business Partner. Throughout this time, I have used Unit 4 ERP and worked closely with the IT Team who support the system hence in 2021 I moved to being the Systems Accountant. During my time at the University, we have upgraded the system twice and are currently on version M7.8 and are looking to upgrade to M7.10 when it is released later in the year.

Currently we use GL, AP, AR, Logistics, PCB, Fixed Assets, Planner, Time and Expenses modules along with Proactis. We plan to develop what we currently have before investigating implementing other modules.

Before working at the University, I worked as an Accounts Assistant with Macklin Motors and worked closely with the systems team providing training to new employees at new branches. When I am not working, I compete at Dressage across Scotland and I am season ticket holder at my local football team, Raith Rovers.
